The short version
The first contractor to call back usually wins the job. Putting every lead in front of the whole office, where they're already looking, gets that call made faster.
How it works
Connected in under a minute.
01
Click Add to Slack
On this page or in the app under Settings. Sign in to Contractor Systems if you aren't already.
02
Pick a channel
Slack opens its own page. Choose the workspace and the channel the alerts should go to, like #leads or #office, and click Allow.
03
Say hello
You land back in the app, connected. We post a hello to the channel so you know it worked.
04
Choose what posts
Leads, texts, calls, and reviews each have their own switch in Settings. Turn off whatever's noise for your shop.
What posts
The moments that need someone on it.
Everything still lands in your Contractor Systems inbox and on the customer record. Slack is the heads-up.
- ✓New leads from your website, ads, and lead sources
- ✓Texts from customers to your connected phone system
- ✓Missed calls with the caller's number
- ✓AI receptionist calls with the call summary
- ✓Review ratings from your review requests, with any written feedback
- ✓A link on every post to open it in Contractor Systems
- ✓Change channel any time without losing your settings
- ✓Send a test message from Settings
Connecting Slack
What you get.
One click, no setup
No API keys, no Zapier, no copying webhook URLs. You pick the channel on Slack's own page.
The whole team sees new leads
The office, the owner, and the estimator see the same lead at the same moment, so whoever's free grabs it.
A link back to the customer
Every post links to the conversation, call, or customer in Contractor Systems, so reply or call back in one tap.
You choose what posts
Separate switches for leads, customer texts, calls, and review ratings.
Only posts to the channel you pick
The app can post to that one channel. It can't read your messages, see other channels, or message your team directly.
Disconnect any time
One click in Settings removes the app from your Slack. Removing it from Slack's side works too.
Questions
Slack, answered.
What can Contractor Systems see in my Slack?+
Nothing. The app asks Slack for one permission: posting to the channel you choose. It can't read messages, list channels or people, or post anywhere else.
Can I post to a private channel?+
Yes. Pick it on Slack's install page. You need to be a member of that channel.
Will it flood the channel?+
It posts once per new lead, text, missed call, AI receptionist call, and review rating. If texts are too chatty for your shop, switch them off in Settings and keep the rest.
Can each business I run post to a different channel?+
Yes. Each business in Contractor Systems connects its own channel, in the same Slack workspace or different ones.
My workspace only allows approved apps.+
Slack will ask your workspace admin to approve Contractor Systems first. Once they do, click Add to Slack again.
How do I change the channel?+
In Settings, click Change channel and pick a new one on Slack's page. Your switches stay the way you set them.
What happens if I disconnect?+
We remove the app from your Slack workspace and stop posting. Nothing in Contractor Systems changes; you still get push notifications in the app.
